Sometimes when arguing with someone and you know that you are right but the other person refuses to accept it, sometimes … it is better to keep peaceful, no matter how much you want to yell and scream at them telling them that they are ‘wrong’ and that you know exactly what you are talking about, you are only tainting yourself internally with anger and tainting yourself in the eyes of others with a lack of self control. A friend once told me “Sometimes you can either beright, or happy.” and I believe that is true in these situations, why continue getting all worked up over something when it wont change anything? Just stop arguing and become quite and remain happy, because you are right and what matters most is that you know that. As human beings living in this society we are already tainted enough as it is, indoctrinated into consumerism and materialism, hatred and anger, distrust and a false sense of ‘morality’ enforced by a government that is the epitome of immorality.
Do what you can to decrease the amount of negativity you present, even if you are not in the vicinity of others. At first it may feel that you are going to boil over by holding in these emotions … but sometimes, it is not a case of emotion. Negativity is a flaw and hurtful to you as a person. When having negative thoughts/feelings just think to yourself how silly it is that you’re feeling this way, that after a couple of days it will all blow over and be forgotten. There is no need to express emotion so petty.
After awhile of doing this you will change as a person, for the better. You will realise how silly it is when people express negativity over small things, you will feel better and happier with life around you.
